Two of the poster designs I did for my grad show. I did about eight different designs, these two being the most successful in my opinion. I'll present them to my class at the grad meeting on Tuesday, I wonder if they will choose the colourful eye catching one (my vote for sure,) or the more serious and professional looking one. Duhn duhn duhnnnnn; when the final results are given (Tuesday) I will make sure to post the winner!
I have no design experience aside from my adolescent birthday invites and weird photoshop collages of my friends heads on ridiculous bodies, so I went for an abstract-photography route. I made the first image by doing a paint pour of many colours and swirling them with a pencil, this is a macro shot of about 2 by 3.5 inches, the second image is a photograph of some trippy ice on a pond, again cropped from a larger image.
